The Handwork Oversized Shirt treats the clean white garment as an artist’s canvas. Across its front, a large rooster emerges through expressive colour, visible brush movement and layered surface work. The artwork crosses the centre placket rather than remaining confined to a single panel, allowing the shirt’s construction to become part of the composition.
Its white base is intentionally restrained. It creates open space around the artwork and intensifies the rooster’s saturated red, orange, brown and yellow tones. The result is playful without losing refinement—an oversized shirt that sits between clothing, illustration and collectible art.
INSPIRATION : The rooster has long represented presence, confidence and the announcement of a new beginning. It does not enter quietly; it makes itself known. That instinctive boldness became the starting point for this shirt.
The handwritten “BAWK” inside the open beak introduces wit and spontaneity, as though the artwork has interrupted the stillness of the white fabric with its own voice. Rather than presenting art as distant or overly serious, the design allows it to remain expressive, imperfect and alive.
FABRIC : Crafted from premium fabric selected for its clean appearance, comfortable handle and ability to support detailed surface work. The white base gives the artwork clarity while retaining enough structure to hold the shirt’s oversized shape, broad sleeves and classic collar.
MIXED HANDWORK : The rooster artwork is developed through a combination of hand-applied colour and layered surface detailing. Different techniques are used to create variations in texture, depth and intensity across the feathers, comb, eye and beak.
Visible changes in stroke, colour density and finish are intentional. They preserve the energy of the human hand and prevent the artwork from appearing mechanically reproduced or digitally flat.
THE ARTWORK : The rooster extends from the lower front towards the chest, occupying a large portion of the shirt without being contained by a conventional frame. Rich brown tones form the body, while layered reds and oranges shape the head and comb.
The central button placket passes directly through the artwork, dividing and reconnecting it when the shirt is fastened. On the opposite side, the open beak carries the word “BAWK,” turning the composition into a visual sound.
COLOUR PALETTE : The shirt is available with a clean White base. The artwork introduces saturated red, vermilion, orange, deep brown, black and mustard-yellow accents. The contrast between the blank base and expressive colours allows the handwork to remain the immediate focus.
COLLAR & CLOSURE : Finished with a classic pointed collar and tonal front buttons. These familiar shirt elements bring order to the expressive artwork and make the piece easy to style despite its strong visual identity.
SLEEVES : Wide elbow-length sleeves fall loosely from dropped shoulders, reinforcing the relaxed proportions of the shirt. Their clean white surface balances the density of the central artwork and provides comfortable freedom of movement.
SHAPE : Designed with an oversized, straight silhouette and a relaxed hem that falls around the upper hip. The generous body creates sufficient space for the artwork to remain visible without becoming distorted against the frame.

STYLING : Pair it with denim for an easy contrast between expressive art and familiar texture, or wear it with clean black or white trousers for a more gallery-like presentation. It may be buttoned fully, worn loosely at the collar or layered open over a minimal inner garment.

PRODUCTION TIMELINE : Each Handwork Oversized Shirt requires approximately 7–10 days to create. The garment is cut and constructed only after an order has been placed. The artwork is then developed individually across the front, with time given to building its colours, surface details and final finish.

PLEASE NOTE : Because the artwork is created through mixed hand techniques, no two shirts will be completely identical. Minor differences in brush movement, colour density, outline and surface texture are not imperfections; they are evidence of the human process behind every piece. The white base and artwork colours may also appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.
DELIVERY TIMELINE : Once production is complete and the product has been dispatched, delivery takes approximately 3–15 days, depending on your destination and courier service. We deliver across India and internationally. Customs duties, import taxes or other destination-specific charges, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer.
EXPEDITED DELIVERY : If you require expedited shipping with an estimated transit time of 2–3 days, please contact our customer-care team with your delivery location and required date before placing your order. We will assist you with a special request wherever production feasibility, courier availability and the destination permit.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS : Professional dry cleaning only. Do not wash, soak, scrub, wring or tumble dry. Do not iron directly over the artwork or apply concentrated steam to its surface. If ironing is required, turn the shirt inside out and use a low temperature with a protective cloth. Store away from sharp objects, rough surfaces and colour-transferring materials.
EXCHANGE & RETURN : We offer a free exchange within 30 days of delivery in case of sizing issues or damage. We do not accept returns because every garment is created specifically for its wearer. When a made-to-order piece is returned or left unaccepted, it risks becoming waste—and that is something we do not wish to promote.
