The Hand-Embroidered Oversized Shirt brings together soft tailoring, pastel colour and slow handwork. Crafted from premium cotton, the shirt is divided into contrasting visual fields: clean white on one side and broad pastel blue-and-cream stripes on the other. Across these surfaces, flowers, stems, leaves and a butterfly are drawn directly through thread.
Unlike a printed floral shirt, where the artwork remains flat against the fabric, every motif here is built stitch by stitch. Changes in thread direction, density and colour create visible depth, allowing petals to rise, stems to curve and the butterfly’s wings to hold subtle texture. The result feels personal and tactile—an artwork intended to be experienced closely.
INSPIRATION : The design takes inspiration from botanical journals, pressed-flower archives and gardens observed at different stages of bloom. Rather than arranging every element into a perfect bouquet, the flowers appear to grow independently across the shirt—as if separate moments from a garden have been collected onto one garment.
The red rectangular panel recalls a framed botanical study, while the flowers and butterfly on the striped section feel less contained, extending freely across the body. This contrast between order and growth gives the shirt its distinctive character.
FABRIC : Crafted from premium cotton selected for its breathable feel, smooth surface and ability to hold detailed embroidery. The fabric is comfortable enough for an oversized silhouette while retaining sufficient structure to support the stitched motifs, contrasting panels and classic collar.
HAND EMBROIDERY : The floral and butterfly elements are created through handcrafted thread embroidery rather than printing. Pastel pink, lilac, yellow, green and red threads are layered to form tonal transitions within the petals, leaves and wings.
Variations in stitch length and direction create depth across the artwork. The slightly raised thread catches light differently from the base fabric, giving the motifs a dimensional quality that cannot be achieved through a conventional surface print.
BOTANICAL ARTWORK : The striped side of the shirt carries a growing arrangement of flowers, buds, leaves and a butterfly. The stems rise vertically from the lower section, following the direction of the stripes while interrupting their regular rhythm.
The opposite side features a red rectangular panel with a delicate embroidered flower. Its framed placement provides a bold counterpoint to the softer pastel composition and introduces a sense of visual balance across the asymmetric design.
COLOUR PALETTE : The shirt combines clean white with broad stripes in powder blue and soft cream. The embroidery introduces muted green, blush pink, lilac, pale yellow and brighter red accents. DELIVERY TIMELINE : Once production is complete and the product has been dispatched, delivery takes approximately 3–15 days, depending on your destination and courier service. We deliver across India and internationally. Customs duties, import taxes or other destination-specific charges, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer.
EXPEDITED DELIVERY : If you require expedited shipping with an estimated transit time of 2–3 days, please contact our customer-care team with your delivery location and required date before placing your order. We will assist you with a special request wherever production feasibility, courier availability and the destination permit.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS : Professional dry cleaning is recommended to protect the hand embroidery and contrasting panels. Do not bleach, soak, wring or tumble dry. Do not iron directly over the embroidered artwork. If required, iron the garment from the reverse side on a low cotton setting with a protective cloth. Store it carefully away from sharp jewellery, rough surfaces and objects that may catch the threads.
EXCHANGE & RETURN : We offer a free exchange within 30 days of delivery in case of sizing issues or damage. We do not accept returns because every garment is created specifically for its wearer. When a made-to-order piece is returned or left unaccepted, it risks becoming waste—and that is something we do not wish to promote.
