The Flowcut Pant is an exploration of movement created through precision. Part of the Insane Shell Japanese Collection, its name brings together two defining ideas: “flow,” expressed through the generous movement of the fabric, and “cut,” seen in the disciplined construction that gives the silhouette its architectural form.
The design draws inspiration from the balance found in Japanese clothing—where volume is not excessive, but intentional; where fabric is given space to move, and every fold contributes to the final shape. Deep pleats open from the waist and release into an exceptionally wide leg, allowing the pant to shift between structure and fluidity with every step.
Rather than relying on embellishment, the Flowcut Pant allows proportion, texture and construction to become its principal design language. Its oversized dimensions create presence, while the controlled waist, angular pocket lines and precisely turned cuffs maintain a sense of restraint.
INSPIRATION : Inspired by the relationship between discipline and movement within Japanese design. The Flowcut Pant interprets this through controlled volume, measured pleating and a silhouette that appears composed while standing still and fluid when in motion. It is an original Insane Shell design created as part of our Japanese Collection.
FABRIC : Crafted in a single textured grey fabric with a subtle tonal surface pattern. The understated texture introduces depth without interrupting the purity of the silhouette, allowing light and shadow to reveal the fabric differently across the pleats, folds and wide panels.
Grey was chosen for its quiet strength and versatility. It allows the construction to remain the focus while giving the pant a refined, almost sculptural character.
CONSTRUCTION & DETAILS : The Flowcut Pant is built around an expansive volume of fabric, carefully controlled through tailoring at the waist. Deep front pleats create room through the hips before releasing into the dramatically wide legs.
Angular lines extend from the waistband towards the side pockets, bringing definition to the upper portion of the pant and visually directing the fabric into its flowing form. A structured waistband, belt loops and a clean front fastening provide a precise foundation for the exaggerated proportions below.
Wide turned cuffs finish the hem, adding weight and definition while preserving the architectural shape of the leg. Every seam, pleat and proportion has been considered to ensure that the pant holds its form without appearing rigid.
SHAPE : Designed with a high-rise waist and an exceptionally wide, straight-cut leg. The silhouette remains structured through the waist and upper hip before falling into broad, uninterrupted panels of fabric.
The length is intentionally cropped above the ankle, creating contrast between the oversized width of the leg and the exposed footwear. The deep cuffs frame the hem and give the pant a decisive, tailored finish.
FIT : Fitted and controlled at the waist, with generous room through the hips, thighs and legs. The exaggerated width is an intentional part of the design and should not be interpreted as excess sizing.

Its proportions, pleat placement, angular pocket construction and turned-cuff finish have been developed specifically for this design. It is a contemporary interpretation of Japanese principles of balance, movement and considered volume, rather than a reproduction of a traditional garment.
MAN HOURS / PRODUCTION TIMELINE : Each Flowcut Pant is made only after an order has been placed and requires approximately 4 days to create. Time is dedicated to establishing the structured waistband, aligning the angular construction lines, shaping the deep pleats and finishing the wide turned cuffs so the pant falls as intended.

Our standard size chart is designed to accommodate a wide range of body types. If you require alterations to the waist, length or overall proportions, select the CUSTOM option while placing your order, and our team will contact you for the necessary measurements and details.
DELIVERY TIMELINE : Once the product has been completed and shipped, delivery requires approximately 3–15 days, depending on your location and the applicable courier service. We deliver across India and internationally.
The production period is separate from the delivery timeline.
EXPEDITED DELIVERY : If you require expedited shipping with an estimated transit time of 2–3 days, please contact our customer care team with your delivery location and required date before placing your order. We will check the current production schedule and available courier services and assist you wherever possible. Expedited delivery is subject to production feasibility, courier availability and destination.
PLEASE NOTE : Due to the made-to-order construction and the natural character of textured fabric, minor variations in surface appearance may occur. These are not defects but individual qualities of the material and process.
The intentionally oversized leg and cropped length are essential to the design. Please refer to the size chart carefully or choose custom sizing if you would like the proportions adjusted to your height.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS : Professional dry cleaning only. Do not machine wash, soak, wring or tumble dry. Iron on a low temperature from the reverse side using a protective cloth. Store neatly folded or suspended on a suitable trouser hanger to preserve the pleats, waistband and structured cuffs.
EXCHANGE & RETURN : We offer a free exchange within 30 days of delivery in case of sizing issues or damage. We do not accept returns because every piece is made specifically after an order has been placed. When a made-to-order garment is returned or left unaccepted, it risks becoming waste—and that is something we do not wish to promote.
